Blog redesign
Finally, I took the time to redesign my blog. The old design has served its time. May it rest in peace.I'm not a designer, so the new look doesn't risk too much. I swapped the header, to add a bit more life to the blog. I'm planning on rotating the pictures up there.
The color scheme is almost unchanged, except for the large blue drop introduced by the photo. Blue and golden look nice together, so I kept the gold previously used in the header, and in relevant points. Every appearance of blue (previously on links) has been replaced by a darker gold.
The photo is a landmark from Porto, a sidewalk by the beach. The photo header forces a fixed width design, so I took the opportunity to fixate the main content column to 60-80 characters. This option produces relatively short lines, which are easier to read. The remaining horizontal space is taken by the blogroll column.
